Data's kennel card from the Humane Society cautioned that he really liked to dig in litter boxes. He has lived above and beyond that expectation and our sound bar is no match!
Have you seen any of my posts lately announcing my Patreon? It's weird to bring it up every time that I post, but I know with social media algorithms it can be difficult to reach my audience. So here is your frequent reminder that I do have a Patreon now, I post on it regularly, and you can join for $1 a month :)
Obligatory "He did hand me the remote once he was done being a goof" comment hehheh
Lots of stuff is cooking over on my Patreon! It only costs $1 per month to get access to my comics a day early, plus see all of the projects that I'm working on. There are Outfit of the Day illustrations, poems/rhymes with drawings to go with, and the beginning stages of a larger story arc I'm working on about my three months abroad in 2010. If you join at the $5 tier you also get access to bonus comics! Woo! These are more personal and may contain NSFW content. Thanks for reading this whole blurb.
Six and a half years in and he still can't handle my compliments. Gotta keep trying!
Things are pretty good over on my Patreon - I've been posting outfit of the day illustrations as well as started sharing work on two separate projects; my time in Ireland, and my childhood fears. You can see all of it for just $1 :D
Chocolate at the dump isn't particularly appetizing and I don't recommend it. I just can't resist the siren song of Ghirardelli's Dark Chocolate Caramel with Sea Salt squares, lord help meeee
Don't forget that my Patreon is live and kicking! Just one dollar lets you see my comics a day early, plus you get time lapse videos of my work and insight into my other on-going projects. The five dollar tier gets you at least one bonus comic a month, unpublished anywhere else and categorized as more personal and potentially NSFW :o
Sometimes I'm too much of a tired grumpy sourpuss and his amazing charisma and comedic timing is wasted. Poor guy.
My Patreon has three reward tiers available to choose from: $1, $5, and $15. All three of them get you early access to my comics plus lots of art that I post there before anywhere else! $5 gets you access to my bonus semi-to-full-NSFW comics (currently aiming to post one of those a month), and $15 gets you a portrait sketch :D If you like my work, or think someone else would, please consider sharing my art with others! It is greatly appreciated.
Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is pretty robust, and by the time I was done explaining it to him I felt wide awake again. P.S. we love our AirPods so much.
My Patreon is quickly filling up with all of the projects that I've kept rolling around in my mind. It's becoming a pleasant source of inspiration for me and the motivation I feel is exciting. You can join my Patreon at a $1 tier to see all of these ideas, plus you'll get access to my comics a day early! Your support would mean the world to me, and I thank you just for being here and reading this.
I am excited to announce that commissions are officially open! I am offering 4 slots at a time and they are first come first served. It’s $25 for a digital pencil sketch and $45 for a digital color illustration. These are for 1-2 people, waist (or bust) up, and additional people, babies, pets, etc. are negotiable (with the potential for a fee increase depending on what you’re wanting).
You’ll receive two high resolution digital files: one with the names, and one without. These are suitable for posting online and printing out if you’d like. Please message me if you’d like to commission a portrait! You’ll provide me with one or two reference photos and I’ll provide an ETA for your finished product. Thank you so much for your time!
The song is by Dire Straits, for anyone else like me who is/was unfamiliar with it. I maintain that I made a good guess!
It has been challenging to make one post a day for 30 days in order to promote my new Patreon. I've missed days and not posted until nearly midnight on others - it's tough! At least I've continued to keep up on my twice a week comics :D
I had a Pixel 2 for a year so I hang onto the Google Photos app even though I'm back to an iPhone (in case you were wondering!). It needs to chill though, the dang thing gives new notifications as soon as I clear the previous one -_-
I still can't believe the good fortune I had for the fact that no one saw the strand and subsequent puddle of spit that day in math class :o
I can always hear his approach because he stomps across the floor like a dang rhino, and this comes only after he's busted the bedroom door wide open with his face. Yet he still sits and stares as if wondering if it's OK to cuddle. Baby boy it's always OK to cuddle!!
Here's a Patreon link for anyone who hasn't seen it yet :) I'm offering three contribution tiers with a variety of "rewards" - I hope you'll check it out!
A thought that I had recently while staring at my legs :v
These re-releases are saving my ass big time - I haven't been home before 9pm all week! (It's French for "bless you," by the way.)
Don't forget that I now have a Patreon! For only one little dollar a month you can gain early access to my Tuesday/Friday comics, plus you'll see my secret projects and ideas far, far before I discuss them on the regular public internet :D
Last week was my godson's first birthday! His mom and I made this delicious and beautiful ube cake for the party :) challenging to make, but so tasty and with a lovely, delicate flavor. Also just... fabulously purple, I loved it!
Hello! I've been working steadily for the past few months on some big steps for my art and at last I'm ready to make the announcement.
First, I have a Patreon! If you like my work and are interested in supporting me you can do so there. If you like my work and aren't able to contribute to my Patreon then sharing it with others still makes a huge difference and is greatly appreciated.
Supporting me on Patreon means you'll see all of my comics a day earlier than the rest of the internet - so exciting - and you can do this for only $1 a month! In addition to early access you'll get insight on other projects that I'm working on such as commission illustrations, ideas I have planned, and more. If you support at a $5 or higher tier then you'll also get access to bonus comics :o ! These bonus comics will be more mature and/or absurd content, stuff that leans toward the personal side that I don't want to post on the internet for free ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Currently I plan on one bonus comic a month, but I haven't done any yet since I'm working on getting ahead on regular Tuesday/Friday comics. I have a lot of great ideas written down and waiting for me, though. Thanks for your patience and understanding!
(Each tier also comes with a reward - check them out!)
Secondly, I've put a number of my designs and illustrations on Redbubble! I've shopped at Redbubble for years and I find their products to be of good quality and I feel comfortable selling my designs there :) I'm working on adding new items, so check back every so often. The majority of my creations work best on totes, pillows, and phone cases, and I'm still working on adequate shirt designs.
Someday I'd like to be creating/printing/packing/shipping my own products, but until I have the time and resources I'll be going through services such as Redbubble!
I would be most grateful if you would check out my Patreon and Redbubble pages, and if you like what you see please consider sharing it around with your friends! I've set an ambitious goal of getting 100 individual contributors to my Patreon by the end of the year, and I can't do it without your help! Thanks for your time and attention :D
It's coming up on two years since I originally did this comic in my sketchbook with colored pencils. I believe it's the second one I I did after the backpack fiasco! Not much has changed, I am still an ugly sleeper.
I think I'll at long last throw all continuity pretenses out the window and just accept that every single drawing I make will be different from the prior one. What do we look like in comic form? Who knows! We look however I want us to on that given day.
My main man started up a YouTube channel (brokeyourships) recently to showcase these interesting videos that he's been wanting to make. I call them Emotionscapes, and the one he's done so far is really just... I don't know how to describe it, you'll have to watch it! I made the above illustration for him to use as his user icon :)
It was a lot of fun to create a portrait that incorporated his favorite things! Now watch his video, because it's really fantastic!
I'm having another one of those days/chunks-of-time where everything about drawing is wrong, and with each attempt I get angrier and angrier. So here's a bunch of faces. I don't know how to draw myself or anyone else right now.
It's really hard to know when to push through and keep trying, and when to give myself some slack and a break. Do I force it for the sake of keeping my schedule no matter how frustrated and exhausted I become? Or do I dish out subpar doodles in lieu of comics during times like these?
Trying a new style with this rerelease comic. This is the second one I ever made - with good ol' pen and paper - and I'm really happy with the updated version. Perhaps someday I'll nail a consistent way of drawing but for now at least I think I'm learning a lot. Also I just noticed that I forgot to do the shading for one of the floating heads in the third panel. OH WELL. Oh and yeah, my throat gets super itchy scratchy even with my allergy medicine and it's the epitome of sexy :V
